The online account management tool allows you to change your university account password, setup your account security questions and remove any lockouts that may affect your account.
If you have never visited this account management tool before, you will need to know your username/id number and current account password or one-time password. You will need to login and setup your security questions before you will be able to change your password or remove any lockouts on your account.
To Login, click Home, select one of the two options (username or id number) and select that you know your password. Enter your account information and click the Continue button.
Users who have received a one-time password from the helpdesk or new account letter can login to their account only on the online account management tool. Follow the instructions for Logging In above, and use the one-time password you have been given to login to the account. Once you have logged in successfully, your one-time password will be consumed, making it no longer usable. Make sure to dedicate enough time to set your security questions and change your password after logging in.
The online account management tool requires you to setup three security questions on your account. These questions will be asked to you in the event you forget your password or lockout your account.
When selecting security questions, make sure you select questions that only you can answer. It is very important that you do not select questions and answers that can be guessed by anyone.
You can always make changes your security questions by logging in to the tool.
In the event you have forgotten your password, you can recover access to your account only if you have previously setup your security questions with this tool. If you have not, you will need to contact the helpdesk for a one-time password.
To recover access to your account, click Home, select one of the two options (username or id number) and select that you have forgotten your password. Enter your account identifier and click the Continue button. Answer your security question correctly and click the Continue button. When answered successfully, you will be prompted to change your password.
In the event you do not answer your security question correctly, you account will be permanently locked out and you will be required to contact the helpdesk for further assistance.
Occasionally, you may forget your password or login to one of Cardinal Stritch University’s web services incorrectly too many times. When this occurs, your account may be locked out.
If your account has not been locked out in the last 24 hours, your lockout will automatically expire after 20 minutes. If you have been locked out within the last 24 hours, your lockout will not expire and you will need to remove it manually.
You can manually remove your account lockout yourself only if you have setup your account security questions. If you have not, you will be required to contact the helpdesk for assistance.
To remove your lockout, click Home, select one of the two options (username or id number) and select that your account is locked. Enter your account identifier and click the Continue button. Answer your security question correctly and click the Continue button. When answered successfully, your account will be unlocked and you will be prompted to change your password.
